Job Summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and organizing subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders' involvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and instruct subcontractor management staff to ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules.
  • Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management.
  • Work with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals to interpret Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
  • Ensure personnel receive progressive training to enable them to assume additional responsibilities.
  • Coordinate activities with designated managers or corporate resource departments to ensure effective personnel utilization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or Journeyman Electrician with 10-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Construction experience on an LNG construction site, especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate team members effectively and positively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience in a supervisory role commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
  • Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power generating station construction.
  • Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
  • Advanced knowledge of Project Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) including Setroute, Unifier, Aconex, DSCS, PTR, Agile, Navisworks, and other automation tools used on Bechtel projects.
  • Advanced understanding of production management including scheduling.
  • Basic knowledge of cost management including estimating and forecast development.
Additional Information

This role requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections, including extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard-issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task.
