Job Title: Overnight Security Officer

At Factory Motor Parts, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Overnight Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide armed protection and security services to maintain the safety and security of persons and property in assigned buildings and grounds.
  • Document incidents and review reports before submitting them to the Security Supervisor.
  • Coordinate and conduct security-related training and drills.
  • Enforce security, safety, and fire protection policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison to other Company departments and outside agencies regarding safety and security issues.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with local law enforcement agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local agency security regulations and statutes.
  • Coordinate emergency responses and provide first aid and CPR as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in private security, military, or police, with at least five years in a similar role.
  • First Aid/CPR certificate (FMP will train).
  • Current MN Permit to Carry.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • No Criminal History.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Proficient in using security-related technology and systems.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Law Enforcement, or related field.
  • Bilingual.
