Position Overview:
The Public Address Announcer for Athletics is a part-time, hourly role reporting to the Director of Athletic Events and Facilities. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the university's athletic environment by promoting intercollegiate sports and supporting the experiences of student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary voice for Westminster University Athletics teams, including sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse, delivering live, clear, and precise announcements during home games.
- Introduce starting lineups, announce substitutions, and provide updates on game situations, including fouls, timeouts, and scores.
- Collaborate closely with game day operations staff to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.
- Familiarize yourself with team rosters prior to the season to enhance the quality of announcements.
- Entertain the audience while delivering essential information, ensuring smooth transitions between announcements.
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and maintain composure under pressure, adapting to the energetic atmosphere of live events.
- Provide ad-lib commentary as needed to engage the audience.

Availability Requirements:
- Must be available to work all home men's and women's soccer and lacrosse games, as well as women's volleyball matches, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications:
- Prior experience announcing athletic events at the collegiate or high school level is preferred.
- A motivated self-starter with strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor on game days.
- Ability to accept constructive feedback and direction.
- Knowledge of NCAA II and RMAC sports regulations.
- Capability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and public relations communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high professional standards.

Compensation:
- Hourly payment for services rendered will be $35.00 per hour.
