Athletic Trainer

This position is responsible for providing medical support and athletic training services to high school students and athletes in the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in athletic training, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical coverage and support to high school athletes during practices and events
- Assess and administer first aid to injured athletes
- Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes
- Communicate effectively with coaches, school administrators, parents, and other stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records of athlete evaluations, treatments, and progress
- Provide education and training on injury prevention and overall health literacy
- Participate in marketing and promotional activities for Intermountain Health's sports medicine programs
- Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field
- Current state licensure for athletic training
- Credentialed as an athletic trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience as an athletic trainer at a college or university
- Completion of a formal athletic trainer internship at a college or university
This position will be based at TOSH in Murray, Utah, and will require travel to away games and events. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and have a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care.
