Cortica is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow to contribute to our growing team of dedicated professionals.

In this role, you will embark on a comprehensive 9-month fellowship under the guidance of an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist. This structured program provides newly graduated SLPs with a robust foundation for clinical practice within a collaborative interdisciplinary setting.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop individualized speech and language treatment goals using dynamic assessments and standardized tools.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive treatment plans and integrative strategies.
  • Provide direct therapy sessions, including individual, group, and co-treatment modalities as clinically appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy.
  • Implement play-based and goal-oriented interventions to enhance receptive and expressive language skills, considering sensory processing, regulation, and motor differences.
  • Facilitate functional and engaging experiences tailored to achieve individualized goals.
  • Develop strategies to support communication across various settings.
  • Collaborate with families and individuals to understand their values, interests, and treatment aspirations.
  • Contribute to program development and enhance the overall therapeutic experience for children.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs that complement therapy sessions.

Your Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Speech-Language Pathology Required Professional Experience (RPE) temporary license in California.
  • Demonstrated clinical skills and a passion for working with children.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new approaches.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Understanding of relevant ethical guidelines and best practices.
