The University of Virginia Department of Athletics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Seasonal Sports Dietitian to join our team. As a key member of our Sports Nutrition office, you will be responsible for providing optimal nutritional services to our Division I student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate nutritional services for student-athletes, including meal planning and preparation.
  • Work closely with coaches, trainers, and other support staff to ensure athletes receive comprehensive care.
  • Manage the central fueling station and oversee undergraduate student volunteers.
  • Assist with daily operations, including receiving deliveries and managing inventory.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support the objectives and goals of the unit, Department of Athletics, and University.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a field related to Sports Nutrition.
  • Three years of experience in a field related to Sports Nutrition.
  • Valid driver's license and transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a field related to Sports Nutrition.
  • Experience in sports nutrition, exercise physiology, and with skinfold.
  • Registered Dietician through the AND/CDR.
Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
