Position Overview: We are currently in search of a Senior Accountant to contribute to our expanding finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and maintaining the integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial reports and general ledger accounts.
  • Execute journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and assist in monthly closing activities.
  • Participate in the development and review of annual budgets and performance forecasts.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for accounts payable and purchasing, while conducting internal audits.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheets.
  • Ensure timely processing and reporting in accordance with deadlines.
  • Allocate revenue and expenses accurately to the appropriate cost centers.
  • Analyze profit margins and markup strategies.
  • Respond to information requests and assist with financial audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Manage monthly sales tax and tire use tax responsibilities.
  • Support the Assistant Controller and Controller as required.
  • Participate in training sessions related to staff and state regulations.
  • Adhere to established policies and maintain a professional code of ethics.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Possession of appropriate state and federal clearances.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of recovery principles and a recovery-driven service system.
  • Proficiency in Sage 300 and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Exceptional analytical and numerical skills.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations calmly.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with diverse individuals.
