The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to lead our growth in the hospitality sector and multifamily rental market in the DMV area. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for presenting Parity's value proposition to key decision-makers, conducting sales activities, and closing deals. Responsibilities- Sell a guaranteed savings solution with a no upfront cost option for real estate operators to manage their energy consumption, reduce their carbon footprint, generate grid services revenue, maintain occupant comfort, and limit negative exposure to building performance standards and other energy-related local regulations.
- Manage the sales process from start to finish, maintaining a deep understanding of relevant energy and real estate related policies, programs, and market conditions in the DMV area.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Parity's service offerings and value proposition, and effectively position our unique value proposition using financial metrics, consultative customer engagement, market positioning, domain expertise, and other means.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, conducting sales presentations to key personnel, including property managers, board members, and other consultants.
- Work closely with Parity's engineers to develop proposals, and develop and maintain a sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, taking over existing accounts, and other means.
- Participate in industry events to represent Parity and grow the company's presence in the market, contributing to the ongoing development of Parity's service offerings, company strategy, and market positioning.
- Coordinate with the marketing team on campaigns and other demand-generation activities, establishing partnerships that enhance business development efforts, promoting and expanding Parity's brand awareness in the DMV area market.
- Meet and exceed sales goals, working closely with our marketing team to develop collateral and outreach campaigns.
- Passion for transformative technology and clean energy.
- 5+ years of professional sales experience.
- Experience in the DMV market.
- Located within commuting distance of downtown Washington DC.
- Background in HVAC, building automation, energy systems, property technology, or real estate.
- Proven track record of being a top sales performer.
- Proven experience closing new business using strategic value-based selling.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
