Chugach National Forest Program Coordinator

The National Forest Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Conservation Project Manager to lead recreation and watershed restoration efforts in the Chugach National Forest. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in project management, conservation, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities- Manage recreation improvement projects and watershed restoration activities in the Chugach National Forest, working closely with the U.S. Forest Service and other partners.
- Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project completion.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including community groups, government agencies, and private landowners.
- Collaborate with the NFF's Partnerships Program to secure funding for projects and expand the organization's reach in the region.
- Communicate project outcomes and successes to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and other materials.
- Bachelor's degree in conservation, watershed science, forestry, outdoor recreation, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, conservation, and community outreach.
- Strong understanding of natural resource issues in Alaska and the ability to build expertise in local issues and policies.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
