- Greets patients and families, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience
- Verifies patient demographic and insurance information, making copies of insurance cards and licenses as needed
- Collects co-payments and previous balances, managing self-pay client accounts
- Explains financial and collection policies to patients, providing written guidelines
- Ensures all patient paperwork is complete before patient is seen, preparing charts for clinical staff
- Communicates with patients in the reception area regarding physician availability and offers rescheduling options
- Performs various administrative tasks, including printing, cleaning, answering phones, and monitoring voicemails
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- 1 year of relevant work experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
