Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Masters Mental Health Professional to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, California. As a key member of our mental health team, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to adult and child members with a range of mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for members with acute or chronic mental illness
  • Collaborate with treating physicians, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals to plan and direct member treatment programs
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups
  • Instruct and counsel patients and their families on treatment regimens and medication adherence
  • Administer specialized therapeutic procedures as needed
  • Participate in staff conferences to select, plan, and evaluate treatment programs
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement within 24 months of hire
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of DSM-V, social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting/program under licensed supervision
  • Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities
