Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Concentra. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine medical procedures, including phlebotomy, vaccinations, and testing, under the supervision of a treating clinician.
  • Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing required testing.
  • Triage and disposition patients, and assist providers during examinations and treatments.
  • Maintain and operate medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record-keeping.
  • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices, as well as testing processes used in the center.
  • Manage patient flow and volume, and keep patients informed of expected wait times.
  • Perform clerical tasks in both the front and back office, associated with patient care and proper record-keeping.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school, or Military Medical Specialist with current Medical Assistant credentials in the state of employment.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements, and previous medical office experience preferred.
