Job Summary

As a Manager, Quality Assurance at Novanta, you will oversee a team of quality professionals or serve as an individual contributor, ensuring quality management across a global business unit(s). Your primary responsibilities will include leading quality improvement programs, managing the quality audit program, and developing and implementing quality metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma and Lean, to drive continuous improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the quality audit program to ensure compliance with internal requirements and regulatory standards, maintaining a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee a team of Quality Assurance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure quality standards are met and exceeded.
  • Develop and implement quality metrics, conduct root cause analysis, and internal quality audits to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality and customer experience, ensuring products meet or exceed customer standards.
Requirements
  • Subject matter expertise in quality management or a related field, with a track record of achieving operational goals and driving business results.
  • Experience implementing quality processes and procedures, with knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (e.g. FDA, ISO).
  • Proven ability to oversee teams, complex processes, or complex programs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to set and manage goals, allocate resources, and make high-quality, timely decisions.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and customers.
Travel and Physical Requirements
  • Less than 10% travel required.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods of time may be required.
