Medical Financial Supervisor in Training

As a key member of the University of Rochester’s Human Resources team, the Medical Financial Supervisor in Training will be responsible for administering the Health Program, including Health Care, Dental, FSA, HSA, and Retiree benefits. This role will also involve supervising, training, and monitoring the work of Human Resources Representative I and Sr Human Resources Assistant positions, as well as coordinating communications efforts to ensure compliance and effective communication to faculty, staff, and retirees.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources Administration, or a related field, and will be knowledgeable in health insurance, life insurance, 403(b) retirement programs, and taxation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for this role, as the successful candidate will be responsible for counseling all levels of faculty, staff, and retirees on the University’s benefit plans and practices.
