Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field inspections and perform construction materials testing to verify compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and testing documentation.
- Utilize technical drawings and specifications to guide inspection activities.
- Operate testing equipment for various materials, including soil and concrete, and analyze data for reporting.
- Maintain thorough records of test results and observations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and project teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
- Adhere to safety protocols to safeguard yourself and others on site.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience in field construction materials testing or inspection is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Relevant certifications may be required based on regional and state regulations.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and computer skills.
- Ability to interpret work plans and specifications accurately.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as necessary.
- A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier loads.
- Ability to communicate effectively and discern sounds in a work environment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Certifications such as ACI/ICC/FDOT are highly regarded.
