Construction Engineer

As a Field Engineer I at Flatiron Construction, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical engineering information to ensure that construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, and contract specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Meet daily with project crews to review production schedules and confirm that all materials, equipment, and resources are readily available for production to continue on schedule and within budget.
Collect, coordinate, and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements, and project data to ensure quality and contract specification compliance.
Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling, identifying risk elements of production, materials, equipment, or process that could negatively impact the budget or schedule.
Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections to accurately track project performance and document daily activities in Company-approved methods and technologies.
Notify team members and manager of any significant schedule changes and recommend solutions for management consideration.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
1+ year experience preferred.
Construction engineering experience or knowledge required.
Beginner knowledge of construction equipment & techniques, drawing & specifications, building materials, and required standards applicable to the project.
Ability to assume responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively with others.
