Job Summary:

The Switch Operator is responsible for facilitating the movement of locomotives around the yard. This includes switching tracks, coupling and uncoupling railcars, flagging crossings, and protecting the point. The ideal candidate will have basic computer and math skills, be willing to cover vacations, and have a willingness to learn other jobs in the department.

Key Responsibilities:

* Weigh railcars at the scale and complete the ticket for the railcar
* Release railcars to BNSF
* Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times
