Job Title: Bilingual Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will utilize their extensive knowledge and experience gained during their military service to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with clients and team members.

Responsibilities:
  1. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in diesel engines and related systems.
  2. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements, to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of diesel engines.
  3. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  4. Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with clients in both English and Spanish to assess problems and provide updates.
  5. Repair or replace defective components using appropriate tools and equipment.
  6. Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostic tests to identify potential problems and provide accurate cost estimates for repairs.
  7. Maintain accurate records of repairs, including service reports and time spent on each job.
  8. Stay updated on the latest advancements in diesel engine technology through continuous learning and training opportunities.
  9. Foster a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
  10. Adhere to safety protocols and comply with industry standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  1. Bilingual Spanish-speaking veteran with a strong background in diesel mechanics.
  2. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine systems, acquired through military training and experience.
  3. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
  4. Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  5. Familiarity with a wide range of diesel engines, including various manufacturers and models.
  6. Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  7. Solid understanding of repair procedures, safety protocols, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  8. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to diagnose complex issues.
  9. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  10. Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  11. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  12. Experience with heavy-duty trucks and equipment is preferred.
