Bilingual Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Tampa, Florida. As a veteran-friendly employer, we value the unique skills and experience that bilingual Spanish-speaking veterans bring to the field of diesel mechanics.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of diesel engine systems, acquired through military training and experience. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems, is essential. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in diesel engines and related systems. Routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements, will also be performed to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of diesel engines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with clients in both English and Spanish.
- Repair or replace defective components using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostic tests to identify potential problems and provide accurate cost estimates for repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, including service reports and time spent on each job.
Requirements:
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking veteran with a strong background in diesel mechanics.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engine systems, acquired through military training and experience.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with a wide range of diesel engines, including various manufacturers and models.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Solid understanding of repair procedures, safety protocols, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
