Job Title: Diesel Mechanic/Fleet Mechanic Position

Job Summary:
Staff Financial Group is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Fleet Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and detailing of commercial buses to ensure they are in good working condition. This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of up to $28 per hour, as well as additional benefits such as medical insurance, dental insurance, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures on commercial buses in an efficient and timely manner
  • Diagnose problems with transport diesel engines and perform repairs with minimum supervision
  • Ability to operate computer software proficiently to track maintenance compliance and specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance and repair manuals
  • Complete necessary paperwork for dealer and corporate requirements
  • Must have mechanical experience and maintain required tools to perform duties
  • Must be able to effectively communicate while delivering outstanding customer service

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-year diesel mechanic experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • High school diploma
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Ability to work independently and safely
  • Self-Starter/Self-Motivated
  • Able to quickly integrate with teams
  • INTEGRITY is a MUST
  • Must be able to pass DOT Physical, Drug Testing, and Background Checks

Preferred:
  • 3 - 4 years diesel mechanic experience
  • Experience with the repair of commercial buses is a plus
  • Military background with NCO or SNCO ranks achieved
  • Willing to work in a 365-day operational environment
