Position Overview:

We are looking for a proficient and seasoned CNC Production Engineering Manager to oversee our operations. In this pivotal role, you will manage the entire custom seal manufacturing process, focusing on enhancing efficiency, ensuring quality control, and fostering continuous improvement. This leadership position demands exceptional management capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of production workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute production strategies and timelines to satisfy client requirements while maximizing resource utilization.
  • Oversee and synchronize production tasks, encompassing fabrication, assembly, and packaging of products.
  • Evaluate production workflows to guarantee compliance with quality benchmarks and specifications.
  • Establish and uphold robust systems for inventory oversight, supply chain management, and procurement.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote process enhancement initiatives and attain operational excellence.
  • Guide and develop production personnel, offering mentorship, training, and performance assessments.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and advocate for a safety-centric workplace culture.
  • Examine production analytics and metrics to pinpoint improvement opportunities and implement corrective measures.
  • Stay informed about industry advancements, technologies, and best practices in production management.
  • Support site operations aligned with production requirements and organizational objectives by delivering efficient services across all interfaces.
  • Identify and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the machining division, driving ongoing process enhancements through KPI analysis.
  • Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving support for Production and Maintenance teams.
  • Conduct necessary inspections using measuring instruments such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and various hand tools (dial calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with the Quality Management Representative to perform internal audits, ensure procedural compliance, and manage documentation, including Inspection Reports and Corrective Action Reports.
  • Work alongside production management and direct labor to implement corrective actions aimed at minimizing non-conformances and enhancing quality.
  • Seek opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Ensure the quality of suppliers for finished goods, subcontractors for specialized operations, and all external processing vendors. Authorize part readiness before transferring parts to external vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Hands-on experience in a CNC machining setting, with familiarity in HAAS CNC lathes, particularly with plastics and rubber.
  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing context.
  • Demonstrated experience in production management or a similar capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Expertise in supply chain management and inventory control systems.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High degree of accuracy and precision in analytical tasks.
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance practices and PSM / HAZOP programs.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards, materials, and vendor processes.
  • Proficiency in current computer applications and technologies relevant to engineering disciplines, including MS Office Suite.
  • Prior experience in an ISO 9001:2015 environment is preferred.
