Position Overview: This role is essential for the planning, development, and integration of cutting-edge manufacturing technologies aimed at resolving complex technical manufacturing challenges while contributing to the evolution of next-generation Manufacturing Systems.

Key Responsibilities: Candidates will be tasked with investigating and collecting data regarding the technical capabilities of production operations systems. Staying updated on advancements in software that could enhance existing fabrication and assembly processes is crucial.

This position demands strong communication skills to effectively analyze customer issues, innovate new production processes within the current framework, coordinate capability solutions for manufacturing digital transformation, and relay requirements to IT architects. Additionally, candidates will present solutions to core process owners.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the completion of significant projects and may take on responsibilities in technical project management. Interaction with senior personnel and management on critical technical matters will often require collaboration across various functions and Lockheed Martin business sectors.

Team Collaboration: The Manufacturing Systems Applications Engineer will be a key member of a cross-functional team of specialists dedicated to implementing diverse production operations capabilities utilizing the Siemens Xcelerator and Dassault 3DX tool suites.

Process Development: Engage in the creation, documentation, training, and deployment of new Production Operations Business Processes linked to the implementation of Xcelerator and 3DX tools.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge of Design systems (Siemens Xcelerator and Dassault 3DX) and their applications in manufacturing.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) manufacturing applications, including Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM), Process Planning, Tooling, and Configuration Management.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with PLM systems such as TeamCenter or 3DX.
  • Familiarity with aeronautical manufacturing systems and processes, with the ability to leverage this knowledge in developing digital manufacturing systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a semi-virtual team environment.
  • Experience with PLM, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), including their integrations.

Additional Experience:

  • Process development across multiple systems.
  • Model-Based Engineering.
  • Digital Transformation initiatives.
  • CATIA / 3DX / DELMIA proficiency.
  • Teamcenter / Xcelerator knowledge.
  • Quality Center (HPQC) experience.
  • Documenting business processes and training requirements.
  • Providing end-user training and support.
  • Authoring requirements specifications.

Clearance Level: None required.

Work Schedule: Flexible work schedules are supported, including options for part-time remote telework.

Compensation: The annual base salary range for this position varies based on location and experience.
