Job Summary

The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Basketball Coach to join our team. As an Academy Coach, you will be responsible for developing and implementing basketball programs for youth players aged U8-U14.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and deliver high-quality basketball programs that cater to the needs of our youth players.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide expert coaching and mentoring to our youth players, focusing on their development and improvement.
  • Team Management: Manage and lead teams of youth players, ensuring a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with parents, players, and staff to ensure a smooth and successful program.
  • Program Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of our basketball programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of coaching experience in basketball, preferably with youth players.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in sports management, coaching, or related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Compensation
