Position Title: Event Service Attendant at Wave Resort

Job Category: Food & Beverage

Overview:

The Event Service Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring that all banquet functions run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional service to guests while adhering to the standards set by the management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare the banquet area as directed by the supervisor, ensuring all linens, tableware, and glassware are set up appropriately.
  2. Participate in pre-event meetings to understand the details of the function, including guest expectations and service requirements.
  3. Welcome guests warmly and respond to their inquiries in a polite and professional manner.
  4. Serve food and beverages according to the established service sequence, ensuring consistency and quality throughout the event.
  5. Efficiently clear tables after each course and at the conclusion of the meal, maintaining a tidy environment.
  6. Adhere to all regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
  7. Monitor beverage levels and check in with guests to ensure their satisfaction throughout the event.
  8. After the event, reset the banquet area according to the supervisor's guidelines to prepare for future functions.
  9. Maintain regular attendance and be available to work as scheduled.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and assist colleagues as needed.
  • Basic understanding of food and beverage service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of proper table settings and service ware.
  • Capability to follow written instructions for product usage and safety.
  • Ability to remember and promote menu items effectively.
  • Physical ability to transport items weighing up to 30 lbs. in a busy environment.
  • Experience operating beverage equipment, such as coffee makers.
