POSITION OVERVIEW:

At Talbots, our mission is to empower customers to look and feel their best. The Retail Sales Consultant plays a pivotal role in nurturing a welcoming atmosphere through outstanding customer interactions. This position involves engaging with both new and returning customers, providing a sales experience that is relevant, timely, and meaningful.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SALES AND SERVICE:

  1. Engage customers with curiosity and confidence to understand their needs and preferences.
  2. Utilize company resources to reinforce the brand experience and build lasting customer relationships to achieve sales objectives.
  3. Introduce Talbots products and services to customers in a timely and relevant manner to meet key sales and service metrics.
  4. Represent the brand image with professionalism.

BUSINESS INSIGHT:

Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and key business drivers to identify opportunities that will enhance sales and meet financial targets.

OPERATIONS:

  1. Support operational excellence as needed.
  2. Prioritize tasks to align with customer and business needs.
  3. Safeguard company assets and ensure a safe working environment.
  4. Adhere to all company policies and local, state, and federal employment regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Previous sales experience is preferred, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance metrics.
  2. Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
  3. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  4. Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
  5. Proficient in navigating computer systems with intermediate skills in keyboarding.
  6. Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse work environment.
  7. A high school diploma is required.
