Job Summary

The Senior Center Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the KWA Senior Center. This role includes planning, coordinating, and implementing a variety of programs and activities that cater to the needs and interests of senior citizens, particularly Asian and immigrant populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Management: Plan, organize, and implement a diverse schedule of activities, classes, and events that promote the physical, mental, and social well-being of seniors.
  • Client Services and Support: Provide direct support to seniors, addressing their needs and concerns. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, encouraging participation among all members.
  • Resource Management: Manage the daily operations of the center, including scheduling, supplies, and facility maintenance.
  • Community and Partner Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, senior centers, and community groups to enhance program offerings and avoid scheduling conflicts.
  • Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate records of attendance, program participation, and client feedback. Prepare regular reports for the Social Service Manager on program outcomes and operational needs.
Requirements
  • Bilingual ability to speak, read, and write English and Korean.
  • Current driver's license and current auto insurance, or ability to travel to different locations as needed.
  • Strong understanding of assigned community, including best ways for outreach.
  • Good computer skills - data entry, MS Office, MS Excel, Outlook Calendar.
  • Ability to produce quality written communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
