Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Support Staff Technician to join our team at Meridian Health Services. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will provide exceptional support and services to our patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication and Consultation: Maintain a professional, customer-focused environment through effective communication with all center staff, clients, and the general public.
  • Telephone and Scheduling: Answer incoming telephone calls, schedule/reschedule appointments for primary care and behavioral providers, and take messages or route to the appropriate extension.
  • Financial Transactions: Collect patient co-pays and payments at registration and perform general cashier duties.
  • Medical Records Management: Retrieve medical records from outside providers and create medical record charts for new patients, maintaining a working knowledge of release of information procedures per Meridian policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Two years of secretarial/office experience preferred, with previous experience in a medical setting strongly preferred.
  • Skills: Computer proficiency, ability to type and/or use a computer to complete data entry and telephone duties, strong communication skills (both verbal and written), ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
