Job Overview

At Advanced Medical Manage, we are seeking an EDI Process Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a significant impact on the organization's operations.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

About the Role

The EDI Process Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing electronic data interchange processes related to incoming transactions. This role involves ensuring that electronic documents, such as claims and patient information, are accurately received, processed, and integrated into the organization's systems.

The specialist will work closely with internal teams and external partners to troubleshoot issues, maintain data integrity, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of EDI standards are essential for effectively coordinating and optimizing inbound data workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • EDI Mapping and Configuration: Develop and execute test scripts related to X12 Transmission, conduct QA and Testing on EDI applications, and manage catalog of EDI document types.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support during and after implementation for healthcare electronic data interchange applications.
  • Issue Resolution: Respond to inquiries regarding EDI issues with encounter claims and trading partner activities, identify and facilitate issues with partner data mapping, and troubleshoot EDI document processing errors.
  • Process Improvement: Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements in support of the EDI system.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate issues and needs with internal business partners, external vendors, and healthcare providers.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of two years experience in healthcare settings, demonstrating a solid understanding of industry practices and standards.
  • Skills: Proficient in EZCAP/EZEDI software, knowledgeable in standard EDI formats, including 999, 277, and 837, and strong ability to plan and organize tasks effectively.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
