Position Summary:
Responsible for the selection process of the case pick segment of outgoing shipments.
Ensures the final accuracy of assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieves individual cases for outbound shipments and organizes pallets by hand.
- Operates material handling machinery, including forklifts and end rider pallet jacks.
- Confirms the accuracy of outgoing pallets in relation to the correct SKU and quantity as per Bills of Lading.
- Ensures pallets are arranged in a manner that allows the consignee to verify an accurate count of products upon receipt.
- Guarantees that products are packaged according to CHD specifications.- Checks lot codes of assigned products and maintains proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Collaborates with Shipping Technicians to uphold a safe working environment and takes necessary initiatives as required.
- Assists in keeping the workspace safe, clean, and organized in accordance with 5S standards.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Effective organizational and time management abilities.
- Capacity to interact effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
- Ability to work for extended periods under pressure to achieve results.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Follows directions accurately.
- Attention to detail and precision.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of three to six months of experience in case picking within a distribution center environment is necessary.
Preference for candidates with at least one year of prior experience operating powered industrial trucks/material handling equipment.
