Position Summary:
The role involves selecting cases for outgoing orders and ensuring the accuracy of the assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve individual cases for outbound shipments and organize pallets.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing pallets against Bills of Lading in terms of SKU and quantity.
- Ensure pallets are stacked correctly for accurate counting upon receipt.
- Unitize products according to packaging specifications.
- Check lot codes of assigned products and maintain proper documentation.
- Collaborate with Shipping Technicians to uphold a safe working environment and take necessary initiatives.
- Assist in keeping the workspace safe, clean, and organized, adhering to 5S standards.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Effective organizational and time management abilities.
- Capability to interact with employees across all organizational levels.
- Ability to work under pressure for extended periods to achieve results.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to follow directions accurately.
- Attention to detail and precision.
High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of three to six months of experience in case picking within a distribution center is preferred, along with at least one year of experience operating powered industrial trucks or material handling equipment.
