Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and promoting all initiatives at the Drury GO campus and its surrounding community. This role serves as the main recruiter and academic advisor for students affiliated with this location, while also monitoring and managing overall enrollment figures. The coordinator collaborates on the class schedule for each semester and participates in the recruitment, hiring, and evaluation of faculty. Additionally, this position engages in outreach efforts and markets programs through various media channels and by connecting with prospective students, local businesses, and community leaders. Office hours are maintained for public accessibility.

  • Promotes and markets all Drury GO degree, certificate, and non-credit programs within the campus community and surrounding areas as directed by the Senior Associate VP of Drury GO. This includes:
    • Engagement with local community organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, civic groups, and business networking associations.
    • Meeting with local employers to provide updates on programs and distribute relevant information.
    • Exploring avenues to enhance community outreach through mass marketing, public relations, and events.
    • Coordinating with the Marketing & Communications team to align efforts with the overall Drury GO marketing strategy.
  • Supervises part-time and full-time staff at the Harrisonville location, providing feedback and evaluations based on metrics related to enrollment growth and conversion rates, along with other performance measures set by Human Resources. Manages the assignment of online inquiries to the appropriate enrollment personnel.
  • Assists current and prospective students at the Drury GO campus by providing accurate and timely information and support. Offers academic and enrollment advising using the current catalog, schedule, and core requirement sheets. Aids students in course selection based on their academic history and status. Provides information on college programs, policies, and financial aid options. Supports efforts to prevent student loan defaults and ensures accurate completion of registration forms and related documentation.
  • Responsible for the administration of branch campus programs, which includes:
    1. Coordinating the scheduling of all seated classes in collaboration with Academics and the Senior Associate VP of Drury GO, soliciting input from students and faculty.
    2. Working with Academics to recruit qualified faculty and assisting in the preparation and delivery of classes by providing necessary information, equipment, and supplies. Facilitates student evaluations of instructors and provides constructive feedback for future class delivery.
    3. Overseeing the budget for the branch campus.
  • Exhibits availability and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned.

  • Proficient in answering and placing telephone calls, providing information to prospective and current students.
  • Strong spelling and grammar skills for daily correspondence with students and faculty.
  • Ability to present a professional appearance when interacting with prospective students and faculty.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for organizing and completing workload efficiently.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and stressful situations calmly and accurately.
  • A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and the capacity to travel within the geographical area served.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in higher education, business, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience overseeing functional and strategic aspects of a campus, center, site, or profit center; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees Enrollment and Academic Advising Specialists and other staff at the Drury GO branch campus as applicable. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues in accordance with college policies and applicable laws.
