Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant - Documentation Excellence to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our consulting team, you will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to provide expert guidance on coding and documentation best practices. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and improve the overall quality of our coding and documentation processes.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in hospital revenue cycle assessments and process improvement engagements.
  • Prepare written reports to include findings and recommendations.
  • Conduct status checks with clients and project teams to assess progress against plan.
  • Oversee and provide training and mentoring to team members.
  • Adapt behavior to specific patient populations and communicate effectively.

Requirements
  • 5 years of experience working in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center as a coder, including experience in consulting and client-facing positions.
  • Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder.
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
