Job SummaryRinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the Land Development team in our Virginia Beach office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and management, with excellent technical and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a design team to process site development plans in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and process site development plans for public and private clients in Southern Virginia.
  • Obtain site development plan approvals through excellent project and time management skills.
  • Drive solutions for engineering challenges and coordinate the work of a design team.
  • Expand the private and public client base in Southern Virginia.
  • Quality Control Manager for site plans.
  • Oversee consultant selection and manage experts in surveying, wetlands, geotechnical, environmental, and civil engineering.
  • Review development plan comments and strategize responses.
  • Negotiate and manage change orders during design and construction.
  • Pursue new markets and relationships.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in civil engineering and management.
  • Professional Engineer License.
  • Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop, mentor, and guide junior engineers.
  • Significant experience processing plans through multiple southeastern jurisdictions.
  • Significant experience preparing proposals for private and public clients.
