Key Responsibilities- Supervise the activities of a clinical and/or operational team or program, ensuring the development and review of clinical protocols and operational policies/procedures.
- Coordinate a Pharmacy team's/program's activities and document progress toward approved team/program clinical and operational goals.
- Develop and maintain a training program for the team, mentoring colleagues to ensure proficiency of all team members as required.
- Teach students, residents, and new pharmacy staff, participating in scholarly activities.
- Provide formal and informal work performance feedback to team members, including the preparation and administration of performance reviews as required.
- Manage priorities to meet team/program expectations.
- Create and/or maintain policies and procedures specific to the practice area.
- Provide clinical and operational pharmacist services to patients as required.
- Identify and implement clinical pathway and/or operational process improvement initiatives to provide optimal care while minimizing cost.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
- Participate in candidate interviews and selection, conducting candidate interviews and selecting appropriate candidates for position vacancies as required.
- Support compliance with federal, state, local, and institutional policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
Education Requirements: A PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree is required.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Active pharmacist licensure with the NC Board of Pharmacy or obtainable before initiation of employment is required.
Professional Experience Requirements: Two years of prior pharmacist experience or equivalent is required.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: A strong understanding of clinical and operational pharmacy practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills, is necessary.
Work DetailsThis is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. The salary range is $53.47 - $76.87 per hour, with pay offers determined by experience and internal equity.
This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. This is not a State employed position.
