Job Description

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement PLC programs, HMI applications, and electrical systems for various industrial processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and programming logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, single lines, and P&IDs using Allen-Bradley hardware and software.
  • Performing and verifying process/control design for projects involving PLCs, networks, drives, instrumentation, control panels, and other equipment.
  • Maintaining proficiency in Allen-Bradley hardware, including MicroLogix, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and PanelView, as well as related software such as RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, and FactoryTalk.
  • Troubleshooting complex equipment problems and repairing electrical equipment, including testing and refurbishing PLC modules, HMI's, and other electrical hardware.
  • Collaborating with field technicians and equipment operators to resolve equipment issues and provide support for on-site start-up activities.
  • Managing inspection of existing electrical and controls equipment, designing new electrical and controls equipment, and assisting with the development of mathematical models for system control.
  • Communicating effectively with project managers, engineers, field technicians, clients, and vendors/partners to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university (highly preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience programming controls technologies using Allen Bradley PLCs and HMI's, with specific experience in Compact Logix, Micro Logix, and PanelView 600.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to multitask effectively and thrive in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to apply common sense and deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Benefits

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%) to support on-site start-up activities and project execution.
