Position Overview

DCS Corp is in search of an enthusiastic and innovative individual to assist with corporate marketing, branding, social media engagement, and advertising efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and drafting of press releases, manage and curate social media content, and contribute to website and intranet updates.
  • Generate creative ideas for marketing strategies and social media outreach.
  • Oversee and enhance social media presence through daily monitoring, content posting, scheduling, and performance reporting across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
  • Assist in organizing conferences and trade shows.
  • Help in the creation and management of a graphics library.
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and implement new marketing and communication initiatives.
  • Research and analyze trends in social media, branding, and outreach marketing for competitive insights.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of customer-related responsibilities.
  • Currently enrolled in a college program.
  • A genuine passion for crafting engaging media content and marketing materials.
  • Progressing towards a college degree (junior level or higher) in a relevant field such as English, Marketing/Communications, Advertising, Multimedia Design, or Public Relations.
  • Familiarity with social media tools and platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Capability to work remotely.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in content creation for social media or other publications is advantageous (class projects are acceptable).
  • Familiarity with Canva or similar content creation tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint.
  • Graphics design experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Hootsuite and PRNewswire/Cision Communications Cloud or similar media management platforms is beneficial.
  • Experience with Adobe Suite or similar software is an asset.
  • Understanding of HTML, website content management, and graphic design is a plus.
  • Experience with WordPress is an advantage.
