Paralegal Specialist

MCI Careers is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing case files, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and ensuring all filings and paperwork are processed efficiently.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough legal research and gather information from various resources, including statutes, case law, and legal articles.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, and motions, with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Organize and maintain case files, manage deadlines, and keep track of ongoing legal proceedings.
- Communicate effectively with clients to obtain information, provide updates on case status, and assist with routine questions.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for court appearances and trials, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and managing correspondence.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; Paralegal certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal research databases and document management systems.
- A strong understanding of legal terminology, processes, and documentation requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with clients and court personnel.
- The ability to review and organize detailed documents with accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
