Job Overview

MCI Careers is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing case files, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and ensuring all filings and paperwork are processed efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough legal research and gather information from various resources, including statutes, case law, and legal articles.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, and motions, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organize and maintain case files, manage deadlines, and keep track of ongoing legal proceedings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to obtain information, provide updates on case status, and assist with routine questions.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for court appearances and trials, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and managing correspondence.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; Paralegal certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal research databases and document management systems.
  • A strong understanding of legal terminology, processes, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with clients and court personnel.
  • The ability to review and organize detailed documents with accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
