Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Animal Care Coordinator to join our team at Lowell Road Veterinary Center. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to our patients in the daycare and boarding facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care and attention to our patients, including feeding, medicating, and cleaning.
  • Assist with dog daycare playtime, cleaning, laundry, bathing, and walking dogs.
  • Monitor dog behavior and provide a safe and comfortable environment for all animals.
  • Restock hospital supplies and assist doctors and assistants with needed tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of daycare registrations, reservations, medications administered, special diets, appetite, behavior, and any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting methods.
  • Experience in canine body language.
  • Proper methods of animal restraint.
  • Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency.
  • Perform moderately heavy physical labor.
  • Ability to attend to sick, scared, and injured animals sympathetically and patiently.
  • Ability to learn to administer medications and recognize abnormal conditions.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of the job.
