Addiction Treatment Nurse

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Addiction and Mental. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance abuse.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing the acuity of withdrawal and intervening according to physician's policy, procedures, and protocol. You will also establish and maintain rapport with patients and their family members, monitor vital signs, and administer medications as ordered by a physician.
Responsibilities
- Complete and document an accurate and comprehensive Nursing Assessment within twenty-four (24) hours of patient's admission.
- Assess the acuity of withdrawal and intervene according to the Physician's policy, procedures, and protocol.
- Establish and maintain rapport with patients and their family members.
- Monitor vital signs (B/P, Pulse, Respirations) and administer medications when ordered by a physician.
Requirements
- Graduate of approved School of Nursing, current State license (RN or LPN).
- Experience with adults preferred.
- Must be able to continuously sit from 1⁄2 to 4 hours per 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to see 20/40 corrected in each eye and hear (hearing aid acceptable).
- Must be capable of administering First Aid and CPR.
- Walk within the facility approximately 1 mile per 8-hour shift.
- Must be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stressful situations.
- If recovering, must have two (2) years of continuous abstinence.
