Job Summary

The Supply Chain HR Consultant I will provide primary general HR services to the supply chain operations business units, working directly with associates at all levels to ensure accurate HR data capture and compliance with state and federal laws. This role will maintain associate files, conduct file audits, and support recruiting efforts to find and place top talent. The successful candidate will also support HR processes to provide business-essential, cost-effective services to associates and business units across all shifts of operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide reliable and consistent attendance to meet business needs, including attending and participating in meetings and presentations.
  • Assist associates with Human Resources policies impacting new hire entry, compensation, and regulatory requirements, obtaining proper approvals for all transactions.
  • Support recruiting and New Hire Orientation processes, serving as the primary contact for new hire processing and documentation.
  • Manage leave of absence (LOA) cases for assigned groups, partnering with associates, managers, human resources, safety, and legal to ensure accurate and timely administration.
  • Adhere to HR processes ensuring accurate data collection and entry of all data points within the associate life cycle.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting for BU customers, HR regulatory compliance, and internal HR analysis.
  • Capture and enter essential HR data in HRIS, ensuring complete, accurate, and compliant information.
  • Actively participate in projects regarding new application rollouts, testing, and reporting to ensure data integrity.
  • Initiate and process status changes for supply chain business units.
  • Work cross-functionally and with multiple databases to support essential HR & HSE processes and other corporate functions.
  • Research HR issues for associates, managers, and leadership, utilizing established procedures, policies, resources, reports, and other available data.
  • Support full-cycle recruiting processes for Supply Chain positions, serving as a back-up recruiter to create requisitions, coordinate logistics, and track recruiting activities.
  • Support the Human Resources function across all shifts of operation for GST – Supply Chain, focusing on employee relations, leave administration, and HR operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year College or University, plus 1-2 years of Human Resources experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability and previous experience maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of benefit programs and leave administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to update job descriptions, HR policies, and procedures, and employee handbook when provided content and direction.
  • Excellent judgment and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of executives, associates, and other contacts.
  • Working knowledge and experience with HRIS (e.g., Oracle, ADP, PeopleSoft).
  • Ability to desire to work with new technologies.
  • Demonstrate initiative, leadership, and interpersonal influence.
  • Demonstrate an orientation toward process management, shared services, accountability, and values-based culture.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to, promote, manage, and support change.

Preferred Qualifications
