Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to join our banking sector client for a critical Windows 11 upgrade project. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth transition across our client's systems to Windows 11, involving thorough application testing, defect reporting, and user acceptance tests.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct detailed application testing on Windows 11, ensuring compatibility and functionality across various banking systems.
  2. Schedule and manage user testing sessions to gather feedback and identify issues from end-users.
  3. Create and execute test cases within project management tools such as Jira, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all scenarios.
  4. Triage issues effectively, prioritizing based on impact to provide timely resolutions.
  5. Report defects and track defect resolution to ensure all critical issues are addressed before full deployment.
  6. Collaborate closely with IT teams to understand system integrations and dependencies.
  7. Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance system performance and user experience based on test results.
Required Qualifications

6 years of proven QA Testing experience, including 4 years in a banking environment, with a specific focus on Windows upgrades, including 1+ year working in a Windows 11 environment.

Strong knowledge of Windows OS, testing best practices, and the software development lifecycle.

Experience creating and executing detailed test cases, managing test schedules, and reporting in Jira.

Familiarity with conducting and managing user acceptance testing.

Desired Skills

Understanding of RDP, Active Directory, and Group Policies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
