Job Summary

The Director of US Risk Policy Governance will lead the establishment, ongoing maintenance, and continuous improvement of the US Risk Policy Review Committee (PRC). This role will drive consistency and alignment in risk policies and policy governance practices between RBC Enterprise, CUSO, and RIHC legal entities, in line with regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development of US GRM's Policy Review Committee and act as secretary for the Committee, including:
  • Agenda planning and preparation for committee meetings
  • Ensuring timely and high-quality information for committee review
  • Effective discussion and decision-making during committee meetings
  • Assessing committee effectiveness and implementing improvements as needed
Provide CUSO Risk Policy Subject Matter Expertise, including review of policy documents as requiredManage CUSO risk policy administration, including:
  • Policy Management Authority for GRM, USA
  • Publication of CUSO GRM Policy Documents to the Policy & Procedure library
  • Management of the CUSO GRM Policy Bulletin
Manage the CUSO risk management committee structure, ensuring appropriate governance over changesLead the annual review of the CUSO Risk Management FrameworkDrive consistency and best practices between RBC Enterprise, CUSO, and RIHC legal entitiesStay up-to-date with regulatory developments, industry best practices, and leading trends in policy governance practicesRespond to regulatory reporting, Internal Audit, and information requests as requiredRequirements
  • Strong organizational awareness and knowledge of US risk policy governance standards and processes
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and diplomatic skills, with frequent interactions with senior executives
