POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager of Community Support Services is responsible for overseeing the provision of essential services and programs to residents within the NYCHA PACT Case Management framework. This role demands a high degree of dedication and a sincere commitment to enhancing the well-being of families and the surrounding community. The Senior Manager will engage in comprehensive assessments of households, identifying needs, setting achievable objectives, and implementing strategies to realize these goals, ultimately fostering positive outcomes for residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the execution of the NYCHA PACT Social Service Plan at the designated rehabilitation project, which includes: community outreach, management of supportive services, case management, personal counseling, employment assistance, health initiatives, and data tracking.
  • Facilitate connections for residents and their families to essential services that promote a healthy lifestyle.
  • Oversee the delivery of employment readiness and development programs tailored to the needs of the community.
  • Assist youth in accessing various services, including early childhood education, after-school programs, and career training opportunities.
  • Coordinate health programs aimed at promoting well-being and addressing health-related concerns among residents.
  • Collaborate with residents, management, and local authorities to develop and implement safety initiatives.
  • Conduct outreach to evaluate the specific service requirements of households within the community, ensuring appropriate connections to necessary resources.
  • Supervise case management staff in individual service planning and track resident engagement with services.
  • Implement a referral system to support residents facing lease compliance issues, ensuring timely assistance.
  • Work alongside residents and management to foster community-building activities.
  • Maintain accurate case management records and databases.
  • Prepare regular reports on service delivery and community engagement efforts.
  • Establish ongoing communication with management and staff to ensure alignment on objectives.
  • Represent the organization in interactions with governmental agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in regular supervisory meetings with staff and project management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of two years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience working collaboratively with low-income families.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to inspire and motivate others towards achieving their objectives.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding client and employee information.
