Mental Performance Coordinator

The Boston Red Sox Behavioral Health Program is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic professional to develop and implement mental performance programming throughout the organization. The Mental Performance Coordinator will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary group of professionals to build a best-in-class mental performance department that measurably improves player performance and contributes to wins on the field.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's level degree or higher in Sport Psychology or a related field, and experience in coaching or clinical settings in elite or professional sports. Bilingualism in Spanish/English is preferred.
The Mental Performance Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating mental performance programs, collaborating with the Behavioral Health Director and development domain leadership, and developing and implementing effective systems to document and track the success of mental performance programming.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and presenter, able to understand and interact with Red Sox Player Development initiatives, and possess a strong command of best-in-class sport psychology programming.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing mental performance programs to drive on-field player performance improvement and development
- Collaborating with the Behavioral Health Director and development domain leadership to oversee and manage mental performance coaches throughout the organization
- Developing and implementing effective systems to document and track the success of mental performance programming
- Communicating regularly with the Director, Player Development and other development domain leadership and personnel on issues related to player performance
