Job Title: Account Manager – Contract Surety

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our Surety/Bonds team in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will have experience in contract surety and a strong understanding of underwriting requirements and authority.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process surety requests, including preparing submissions to carriers and reviewing client or prospect bond documentation.
  • Review and analyze client or prospect underwriting documentation to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Process contract bond requests, including bid bonds, final bonds, riders/consents, endorsements, cancellations, and final billings.
  • Process commercial bond requests, including renewals/non-renewals, license and permit bonds, miscellaneous bonds, subdivision bonds, riders, endorsements, cancellations, and final billings.
  • Follow up with clients, carriers, producers, and peers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain and prioritize workload, establishing and maintaining current knowledge of underwriting requirements and authority outlined by each carrier.
  • Establish and maintain reputable relationships with carriers, clients, producers, and peers.
  • Maintain and update database in Erlon, Sagitta, and ImageRight, ensuring proper and accurate information.
Requirements:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Agency Management System experience, preferably AMS Sagitta.
  • Bond Program experience, preferably Erlon.
  • Strong technical coverage knowledge of Surety.
  • Strong work ethic, including timely follow-up, team orientation, proactivity, detail orientation, and dependability.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Resident State Agents License or ability to obtain one within 2 months.
  • Surety/Insurance experience required.
  • College degree preferred.
Salary Range:

$60,000-$90,000 DOE
