Job Title: Medical Records Specialist I

Join CIOX Health as a Medical Records Specialist I and play a vital role in safeguarding patient privacy and ensuring the accuracy of medical records.

About the Role:

This entry-level position is responsible for processing release of information (ROI) requests, maintaining confidentiality and security of patient information, and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process patient health information requests in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Work with electronic health records and other software systems.
  • Assist with administrative duties, such as data entry and answering phone calls.
  • Meet productivity expectations and adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Previous production/metric-based work experience.
  • In-person customer service experience.
Working Conditions:

This role is generally performed in an office environment with minimal exposure to unpleasant working conditions. The incumbent must be able to stand and sit frequently, reach overhead, and use a telephone or headset equipment.
