Position Overview:

  • Involves a mix of mentoring, administrative responsibilities, and direct patient care (manage your own patient panel) - 60/40 distribution.
  • Full-time employment within the hospital.
  • We welcome applications from experienced professionals as well as recent graduates.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in psychiatry is preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in residency program leadership or faculty roles is advantageous.
  • Must hold American Board Certification.

About Our Psychiatry Residency Program:

  • A newly established psychiatry residency integrated into our existing Graduate Medical Education framework.
  • The first cohort of residents will be interviewed soon.
  • Initial residents will commence the program in the upcoming years.
  • Plans to expand the residency program over time.

About Graduate Medical Education & YRMC:

  • YRMC's Family Medicine Residency program, initiated in 2013, has rapidly expanded from 4 to 24 residents, with further growth anticipated.
  • In 2019, we launched a Sports Medicine Fellowship program, graduating our second fellow recently.
  • The introduction of the Psychiatry Residency will enhance our medical education offerings within the hospital and the broader community.
  • We have affiliations with The University of Arizona College of Medicine and Mayo Clinic Scottsdale.
  • YRMC is an active clinical partner in the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
  • Our facility utilizes Epic EHR and provides a full range of services from inpatient care to various outpatient specialties.
  • A new health campus with an emergency department and multi-specialty clinic is set to open soon.
