Position Overview:
- Involves a mix of teaching, administrative responsibilities, and direct patient care (managing your own patient panel) - a 60/40 distribution.
- Full-time employment with the hospital.
- We welcome applications from experienced professionals as well as recent graduates.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in psychiatry is preferred; however, new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience in residency program leadership or faculty roles is advantageous.
- Candidates must be American Board Certified.
About Our Psychiatry Residency Program:
- A new residency initiative within an established Graduate Medical Education framework.
- The inaugural class of residents will be selected in the upcoming interview cycle.
- We plan to expand the program by adding residents over time.
Graduate Medical Education & YRMC:
- YRMC's Family Medicine Residency program, initiated in 2013, has seen rapid growth, expanding from 4 to 24 residents in a short span.
- We have also launched a Sports Medicine Fellowship program, with our second fellow graduating recently.
- The introduction of the Psychiatry Residency will further enhance our commitment to graduate medical education in the region.
