Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Windows Infrastructure Administrator to join our dynamic team at Randstad. This role is essential for maintaining and enhancing our Windows server environments.

Location: Washington, D.C.

Job Type: Contract

Compensation: $40 - $50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, configure, and sustain Windows servers and virtualized platforms.
  • Evaluate the reliability, security, and scalability of existing Windows systems.
  • Collaborate with IT management on system and server enhancements.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff and backend system users.
  • Diagnose and resolve system and server issues.
  • Analyze system error logs and user-reported problems.
  • Oversee and update the Windows codebase.
  • Manage user permissions and access controls.
  • Monitor system performance metrics.
  • Ensure server architecture security and perform system backups.

Qualifications:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or a similar field.
  • Security+ certification is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, particularly Windows Server 2012R2 and 2016.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Windows Administrator.
  • In-depth understanding of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with databases, patch management, and networking (LAN and WAN).
  • Knowledge of modern operating systems and server platforms, including Windows and Linux.
  • Understanding of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup protocols.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent.
