The HR Information Systems Specialist will oversee the daily operations, upkeep, and management of the organization's HRIS platform and related HR software. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage workforce systems, ensuring accurate employee data handling within HRIS and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Timely updates to the HRIS platform based on personnel action forms.
- Administer user accounts and access rights within HRIS and associated systems.
- Configure and sustain various departmental service modules.
- Produce reports and analyze data from HR systems to deliver insights to HR and service delivery management.
- Resolve technical issues related to HRIS and liaise with IT support as needed.
- Collaborate with the Training and Development Manager to develop and implement training materials for effective HR system usage.
- Stay informed on HR technology advancements and best practices, particularly regarding HRIS.
- Assist in the rollout and integration of new HR systems.
- Ensure compliance with organizational data security policies.
- Conduct systems configuration assessments to optimize platform utilization.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as required.
- Proficient knowledge and experience in HRIS and/or HCMS.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Access is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
- Demonstrated experience with HR information systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of HR processes and workflows.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Experience in developing and delivering effective training programs.
- Background in the non-profit sector is a plus.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Capability to bend, kneel, push, and pull as required.
- Eligibility for employment within the United States.
- Possession of a valid driving record and access to reliable transportation.
- Compliance with training requirements as mandated.
- Clear criminal history and ability to pass a drug screening.
